Popular Music For Violin Classical Music For Violin Method Books For Violin Manuscript Paper/Reference Books For Violin Accessories For Violin String Ensembles Viola Cello Bass | Antonio Vivaldi - Winter 20 pages, Item number 1450121DU, $9.95 Italian baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi wrote what many consider to be the finest example and arguably the most popular piece of baroque period music in the world. This "Opus 8, Nos. 1-4", better known as "The Four Seasons", features movements meant to depict the sights and sounds of the changing seasons. Each seasonal movement was accompanied by a sonnet that historians believe was penned by Vivaldi as well. Featured here is a transcription of the "Winter" movement transcribed for solo violin with piano accompaniment that also includes the accompanying sonnet written in Italian. Listen for the opening trills in the melody that mimic the chills one experiences from the frigid air of winter.
